Atlantic Antic History

The Atlantic Antic was created by a nonprofit group that works to improve the economic development of Atlantic Avenue from Fourth Avenue to the East River. The group, known as the AALDC, or Atlantic Avenue Local Development Corporation, held the first ever Atlantic Antic in 1974. The fair's success has made it a lasting tradition.

The Atlantic Antic Today

The Atlantic Antic attracts visitors of all ages and from all areas of New York City. Restaurants, bakeries, bars, and shops open their doors to the public and bring their goods to the street with sidewalk sales and special deals on food and drinks. Museums often present special programs, and there's also entertainment, including live music, dance shows, and raffles.
